The Cat and the Critic
by Betty Jo Tucker

Once upon a time

a swashbuckling cat

became a legend

in boots and a hat.

His story is told

on big screen at last

with Banderas’ voice

and others in cast.

Puss in Boots, his name.

Magic beans, his game.

Add romance and dance

plus betrayal, a shame.

Who needs Shrek again?

Puss, go on alone.

Humpty Dumpty’s fight

is over and done.

Put those EYES and voice

in sequels that make

fans happy -- and keep

THIS critic awake!

(TRANSLATION: Finally, a fun animated movie that treats Puss in Boots like the star he was meant to be. Eat your heart out, Shrek.)

Released by Paramount Pictures and rated "PG-13" for some adventure action and rude humor.
