Alex Ferrari joins the Movie Addict HQ gang on November 9^th to talk about Red Princess Blues, his new -- and immensely exciting -- short movie. Coming from a visual effects/post-production background, this versatile filmmaker combines his passion for storytelling and visual effects experience with a unique visual style. Broken, his previous movie, has become one of the most celebrated short films of recent years, and his company, Numb Robot, was established not only for his own works but also to help others bring their projects to life. Cast members of Red Princess Blues, including former Bond girl Rachel Grant, may also drop by.   

Alex has served as a director, writer, producer, cinematographer, editor, visual effects supervisor, and colorist. In addition to Red Princess Blues and Broken, his film credits include such movies as the Sundance Festival Winner Obselidia, The Lightkeepers with Richard Dreyfuss, Camp Hope starring Jesse Eisenberg,  Cyn, and Push. Alex’s upcoming films are Mysterious Island, Xtinction, and Without Men with Eva Langoria and Christian Slater. Because of his remarkable Broken success, Alex was featured in the bestselling book Making Short Films.      

Drawing on his diverse filmmaking background, Alex has achieved a little masterpiece with Red Princess Blues. With a budget under $10,000 and a shooting schedule of only two days, this eleven-minute thriller boasts explosive action, first-rate production values, intriguing visuals and a fairy tale-like story that grabs us immediately, then never lets go until the villain gets his comeuppance.
