Barry Bostwick Kicks Off Horror Month
by Betty Jo Tucker

I'm happy to report that actor Barry Bostwick has agreed to drop by “Movie Addict Headquarters” on BlogTalkRadio to help me usher in a series of programs about horror movies during the month of October. On October 2, Bostwick will discuss his experiences as one of the stars of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, the bizarre 1975 musical that became a cult classic.

With over 80 film and television performances to his credit, Bostwick may be best-known as the clueless mayor on Spin City. However, he’s a triple-threat entertainer -- singer, dancer, actor -- who created the role of Danny Zuko in Grease on Broadway and won a Tony for his work in The Robber Bridegroom. He’s appeared in such TV programs as Scrubs, Law & Order Special Victims Unit, Las Vegas, and the mini-series George Washington (playing the title character). Bostwick earned a Golden Globe as Best Supporing Actor in the War and Remembrance miniseries and is also a frequent host of PBS’s A Capitol Fourth. His most recent movies are Evening and Nancy Drew.

To hear Barry Bostwick live on “Movie Addict Headquarters,” click on this BlogTalkRadio link at 4 p.m. Eastern Time, Tuesday, October 2. The program will also be available later as an archived segment.

Additional upcoming MAHQ offerings during October include: an interview with Rosemary Gore, the actress famous for her portrayal of Alice Walker in Fear of the Dark as well as for her work in the quirky Baby Doll short film; a discussion of the very scary 28 Weeks Later plus other zombie films; and some exciting “horror” surprises.
