Ingrid Bergman On Demand
by Betty Jo Tucker

From August 14 through August 20, Movie Addict HQ celebrates Ingrid Berman’s exciting film career by presenting an ON DEMAND episode titled “Remembering Ingrid Bergman.” Film critic Diana Saenger, editor/founder of Classic Movie Guide, and Bergman fan Jazz Shaw join in this lively discussion.

Listeners can hear this vintage show at any time during the dates specified by clicking on the BlogTalkRadio link at the end of this article.

Actress Ingrid Bergman’s life may have been tainted by scandal, but her wonderful movies live on as a reminder of her natural beauty and talent. Who can forget Bergman’s mesmerizing performances in such great films as Casablanca, Gaslight, Notorious, Spellbound and Murder on the Orient Express?

When Bergman, a top box office star, left Hollywood in 1949 to make a movie with director Roberto Rossellini in Italy, little did she know it would be many years before she could return to America. Because she was a married woman and a mother, shock waves circled the globe at the news of Bergman’s subsequent affair with -- and pregnancy by -- Rossellini. She was even denounced on the floor of the U.S. Senate.

After reading Ingrid: Ingrid Bergman, A Personal Biography by Charlotte Chandler, I realized what a fascinating life this Oscar-winning actress led.

This ON DEMAND episode is a must-hear for Ingrid Bergman fans.

HOST: Betty Jo Tucker
