Johnny Depp, Where Are You?
by
Johnny Depp’s whereabouts became very important to Haylar Garcia and his indie filmmaking partners a couple of years ago. Why? Because they wanted to find the popular actor in order to give him a special guitar with a script inside it. But that’s not all. They also decided to make a movie about their quest.
On December 9, Garcia will discuss Do It for Johnny, his fascinating documentary about this incredible journey, on the “Movie Addict Headquarters” show.
Making movies isn’t writer/director/producer Garcia’s only area of expertise. He’s a vocalist, musician and songwriter who began his professional music career at the age of 17 while touring with bands. Later he operated a recording studio and received credit as an engineer/producer on many CD album projects and demo recordings.
Garcia then founded Tao Engine Philms, wrote seven full-length movies, and directed several short films and music videos before taking on Do It for Johnny, which won Best Documentary at the 2007 Rainier Independent Film Festival.
This special "Movie Addict Headquarters" show, produced by Nikki Starr and co-hosted by Jazz Shaw and myself, airs on BlogTalkRadio at 4 p.m. Eastern Time (2 p.m. Mountain Time) on Tuesday, December 9.
During the live show, listeners are invited to call the show and to participate in a chat. The call-in number is 646-478-5668. An archived segment will also be available.
