Fred Willard Interview On Demand
by Betty Jo Tucker

During the month of September, Movie Addict HQ pays tribute to the late great funnyman Fred Willard by presenting his entertaining interview that aired in 2009. Appearing in almost 200 films and television shows, this talented comedian was known for his quick wit and improvisational skill, which comes through delightfully in this discussion of his comedy career.

Listeners can hear this On Demand show at any time by clicking on the BlogTalkRadio link below.

Who can forget Willard’s clueless sports commentator in Best in Show? Or his show-biz wannabe singing “Midnight at the Oasis” in Waiting for Guffman?  Or his gossipy talk-show host in For Your Consideration. And on TV, Willard gave viewers memorable characters in numerous series, including Back to You, Fernwood 2Night, King of the Hill, MadTV, Everybody Loves Raymond and Saturday Night Live. His live theater one-man show, Fred Willard: Alone at Last, won two Los Angeles Director Awards (Best Comedy and Best Production).

Highlights of his work also include being a founding member of a classic improv group (Ace Trucking Company) and performing recurring television roles on Mad About You, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Roseanne (for which he received an Emmy nomination), and appearing in such diverse movies as Idle Hands, and Roxanne.

HOST: Betty Jo Tucker

CO-HOST: Jazz Shaw

PRODUCER: Nikki Starr
