by Betty Jo Tucker

Movie Addict HQ salutes Oscar-winning actor Morgan Freeman with a special Tribute Show on September 18. A panel of noted film critics will discuss Freeman’s best movies and performances, the reasons for his popularity, and his upcoming films.

Freeman has been nominated for an Academy Award five times – Driving Miss Daisy, The Shawshank Redemption, Street Smart, Invictus and Million Dollar Baby (which earned him his Oscar). Known for his elegance, dignity and velvety voice, this talented actor has appeared in over 90 films/TV shows during his remarkable acting career.

In addition to the films mentioned above, here are some of Freeman's other memorable movies:

Freeman’s upcoming schedule includes four intriguing assignments. He will narrate We the People later this year, and in 2013 he stars with Michael Caine, Woody Harrelson and Mark Ruffalo in Now You See Me, a thriller about FBI agents tracking down a group of illusionists who pull off bank heists. Also in 2013, Freeman will appear with Tom Cruise in a sci-fi action thriller titled Oblivion, and in Las Vegas, a comedy with Robert De Niro and Christopher Walken.

Whenever Freeman’s name appears in the cast, viewers can be fairly certain the movie will be a high quality one!

The Morgan Freeman Tribute show airs on BlogTalkRadio at 4 p.m. Eastern Time (1 p.m. Pacific Time) on Tuesday, September 18, 2012. During the live show, listeners are invited to call in and to participate in a chat. An archived segment will also be available.
