Favorite Christmas Films
by Betty Jo Tucker

Through the magic of imagination and technology, Charles Dickens visits Movie Addict Headquarters on December 20th to talk about A Christmas Carol film versions -- plus actor/author Morgan Lawrence joins guest co-host Wacko Bob, a popular BTR personality, in a spirited discussion about other favorite Christmas movies.

A Christmas Carol, Dickens’ 1843 novella, has been adapted for film over 20 times. Most of his other stories have also received the movie treatment. In fact, if Dickens were alive today, he would probably be a screenwriter! Which screen version of Scrooge is his favorite? Alastair Sim, Reginald Owen, George C. Scott, Albert Finney, Michael Caine, Jim Carrey and other fine actors have portrayed this famous character on film, so it won’t be an easy choice for Mr. Dickens.

Movies also scheduled for discussion during this special Christmas episode may include:

MIRACLE ON 34TH STREET

HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS

THE NATIVITY

IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE

POLAR EXPRESS

ELF

PRANCER

LOVE ACTUALLY

CHRISTMAS IN THE CLOUDS

WHITE CHRISTMAS

FOUR CHRISTMASES

SURVIVING CHRISTMAS

DECK THE HALLS

JINGLE ALL THE WAY

CHRISTMAS VACATION

A CHRISTMAS STORY

SCROOGED

Wacko Bob hosts “Wacko Bob Weekly” and the “Wacko Bob Music Fest” on BlogTalkRadio. Morgan Lawrence is author of The Streets Ran Red and will be appearing soon on HBO in a new mini-series.
