Wizardly Work
by Betty Jo Tucker

I admit to being a lifelong movie addict, but now I must confess to another addiction -- book publicity services from Denise Cassino. I call Denise “O Wizardly One” because she’s worked her magic on two successful E-Book launches for me. In both cases, my books ended up as bestsellers in more than one category in Amazon’s Kindle store.

Denise’s launch for the Kindle edition of CONFESSIONS OF A MOVIE ADDICT, my humorous “life-at-the-movies” memoir, kicked off on Tuesday, August 2. (Click here to see the launch page.) By the end of the day, this E-book version ranked as a bestseller in three categories, with the most encouraging one being #2 in the Movie Guides & Reviews category -- where Roger Ebert’s Your Movie Sucks remained at #1. How could anyone top a book with an outrageous title like that?

Working with Denise on a book launch feels like visiting with a friend who wants the best for you. She’s patient, interested in your story, and willing to challenge you when necessary. Of course, her professionalism and creativity add to the final product, but Denise’s cooperative spirit makes her someone very special indeed. I feel extremely lucky that “O Wizardly One” conjured up MY two book launches!

Because my author’s royalties for CONFESSIONS OF A MOVIE ADDICT are being donated to The Film Foundation, movie fans who purchase my book are also supporting this important non-profit film preservation organization founded by Martin Scorsese.

I want to thank Margaret Bodde, Executive Director of The Film Foundation, as well as my friends and colleagues (Warren Epstein, James Colt Harrison, Diana Saenger, Nancy Lombardo, Denise Cassino, A.J.Hakari and Danielle Dyer) who appeared on the August 2nd Movie Addict Headquarters show to help celebrate film preservation and the kick-off launch for the Kindle edition of CONFESSIONS OF A MOVIE ADDICT. Thanks also to everyone who purchased this book and to the folks at BlogTalkRadio and at WRSP936 for their support.
