Tippi Hedren Again!
by Betty Jo Tucker

Actress/animal activist Tippi Hedren discusses her experience in films like The Birds, Marnie and The Countess from Hong Kong as well as her passion for the Shambala Preserve project during a Movie Addict Headquarters replay on May 31. Tippi also reveals what it was like working with legendary directors Alfred Hitchcock and Charlie Chaplin and why she became involved in animal rights activities.  During the live chat, listeners will be brought up to date on Tippi’s exciting projects, which include SIX new upcoming movies.

With over 70 films and television appearances to her credit, Tippi Hedren is still going strong. Best known for her work in two Hitchcock thrillers -- The Birds and Marnie -- Tippi now spends a great deal of her time involved in animal rights activities and other important causes. An avid supporter of the ROAR Foundation, she even lives at the Shambala Preserve. Tippi has also appeared in many other films, including Citizen Ruth, I Heart Huckabees, Pacific Heights, The Countess from Hong Kong, Break Up, Mulligans, Return to Babylon and Roar, a movie Hedren produced and starred in with her daughter, Melanie Griffith. Her television credits include roles in CSI, The 4400, Hart to Hart and Murder, She Wrote.

Tippi has received various awards for her acting and humanitarian efforts. Among them are: a Golden Globe for The Birds, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, a Humanitarian Award from the Bahai Faith, and a “Woman of Vision” Honor from Women in Film and Video.
