Medical Movies
by Betty Jo Tucker

Morgan Lawrence, author of The Streets Ran Red, visits the next Movie Addict Headquarters show to share his opinions about films dealing with medical topics. Morgan’s 30-year background in medicine and his wide knowledge of movies make him  a perfect guest for this discussion, which centers on such films as M*A*S*H, Coma, and Patch Adams.

Morgan’s medical experience includes service as a paramedic and a physician’s assistant with certification in adult and neonatal Traumatology. He holds a graduate level degree in Psychology with a focus on Forensic Psychology. His book, The Streets Ran Red, may soon be seen as a TV series.

“Medical Movies” airs on BlogTalkRadio on Tuesday, September 8, at 4 p.m. Eastern Time (1 p.m. Pacific Time, 2 p.m. Mountain Time). During the live show, listeners are invited to call in and to participate in a chat. An archived segment will also be available.

What’s your favorite medical movie? We would love to hear from you. Additional films to consider include Lorenzo's Oil,  Awake, Outbreak, Simple ThingsOne Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Doc Hollywood, Sicko, The Hospital, The Bucket List, Doctor in the House -- and, of course, those old Dr. Kildare flicks.
