Dinosaurs, cave men, giant robots, imaginary friends, the New York subway system, memory loss and romance are among the topics fighting for box office attention in June, 2009. Check out the schedule below, but remember all release dates are subject to change.

JUNE 5

My Life in Ruins. Nia Vardalos stars as a new tour guide in Greece. Naturally, she falls for the handsome Greek bus driver, played by Alexis Gorgeous -- er Georgulis. 

Land of the Lost. In this movie version of the 70s sci-fi TV series, Will Ferrell goes for laughs as a scientist who finds himself -- along with two other people -- in an environment filled with scary dinosaurs and other weird creatures. Brad Silberling directs.

The Hangover. Amnesia hits three guys after a bachelor party in Las Vegas. Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis portray the memory-loss trio in this comic mystery.

JUNE 12

The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3. This updating of the 1974 thriller features Denzel Washington in the classic Walter Matthau role and John Travolta as a disturbed subway hostage taker.

Imagine That. Eddie Murphy’s character begins to rely on his little daughter and her imaginary friends for stock market advice in this timely fantasy. Don’t be skeptical. New financial techniques might be needed during today’s economic crisis.

Away We Go. Searching for the right place to call home, a young man and his pregnant fiancé undertake a cross-country road trip. John Krasinski and Maya Rudolph co-star.

Easy Virtue. Colin Firth and Kristin Scott Thomas portray stuffy British parents who react negatively to their son’s glamorous American love interest, portrayed by beautiful Jessica Biel.

JUNE 19

The Proposal. Fearing deportation back to Canada, boss Sandra Bullock forces her assistant, played by Ryan Reynolds, to marry her. These co-stars have a flair for comedy, so this romcom should be great fun to watch.

Irene in Time. The importance of fathers in the life of their adult daughters is emphasized in this touching film starring the astonishing Tanna Frederick.

Year One. Jack Black and Michael Cera romp through a Stone Age comedy directed by Harold Ramis of Caddyshack fame.

Whatever Works. Woody Allen's latest project stars Larry David, Evan Rachel Wood and Patricia Clarkson.  Larry David and Woody Allen? Hmm. "It's a magical combination," says Clarkson in Entertainment Weekly.   

JUNE 26

Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen. Autobots and Decepticons battle again in this BIG sequel with Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox. Watch out below!

My Sister’s Keeper. Cameron Diaz plays the mother of a child with a terminal illness in this film version of Jodi Picout’s popular novel. Her daughters are portrayed by Abigail Breslin and Sofia Vassileva.  A tear-jerker, for sure.

Cheri. Looking as exquisite as ever, Michelle Pfeiffer stars here as a retired Parisian courtesan who has an affair with a 19-year-old boy back in the 1920s. Kathy Bates and Rupert Friend also appear in this period romance.
