Hugh Jackman Tribute
by Betty Jo Tucker

Hugh Jackman, who’s been chosen to host the upcoming Oscar® ceremony, deserves a tribute of his own. That’s why movie buff and award-winning blogger Fausta Wertz has agreed to join me, my co-host Jazz Shaw and my producer Nikki Starr for a discussion of  Jackman’s impressive show biz career on the next Movie Addict Headquarters show.

This will be Jackman’s first stint at hosting the Oscars®, but Academy Awards producer Laurence Mark and executive producer Bill Condon have high hopes for his hosting abilities.  “Hugh Jackman is a consummate entertainer and an internationally renowned movie star,” they said in a joint statement. “He also has style, elegance and a sense of occasion. Hugh is the ideal choice to host a celebration of the year’s movies -- and to have fun doing it.”

Although probably known best for his exciting Wolverine role in the X-Men movies, this talented Australian actor boasts over 30 films and TV shows to his credit, plus he’s also earned acclaim for his outstanding performances in stage musicals, even winning a Tony for The Boy from Oz. And we mustn’t forget Jackman’s Emmy -- which he earned for his entertaining turn as host of the Tony Awards.

The BlogTalkRadio tribute to Hugh Jackman airs on Tuesday, February 17, at 4 p.m. Eastern Time. During the live broadcast, listeners are invited to call in and to participate in a chat. The call in number is 646-478-5668. An archived segment will also be available.

Questions to be discussed on this special tribute show include:

What are the best Hugh Jackman films?

Why is he so popular with moviegoers?

Which actress has the best on-screen chemistry with Jackman?

Has Jackman made any mistakes in his choice of movie roles?

Will Jackman be a successful Oscar® host?

We would love to hear from you about your favorite Hugh Jackman movie!
