Fantasy Films
by Betty Jo Tucker

Creatures, magic and thrills, oh my!  Which fantasy films have entertained you the most? The American Film Institute will announce its list of Top Ten Fantasy Films -- along with Top Ten choices in nine other genres -- during a special June television presentation.

I’m happy to see The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe among the nominees. It’s a glorious movie that almost takes your breath away with its spectacular sets and amazing special effects. The first sequel, Prince Caspian, definitely has a tough act to follow.

If you are a fan of fantasy films, please join Nikki Starr and me on our upcoming “Movie Addict Headquarters” radio show for a journey back to Narnia as we discuss the two Chronicles of Narnia films and other recent fantasy movies, such as The Spiderwick Chronicles and The Golden Compass. This BlogTalkRadio show airs Tuesday, May 20, at 4 p.m. Eastern Time.  An archived segment will be available after the live broadcast.

We invite you to call the show and let us know your favorite fantasy movie or to share your reactions about the topic.  The call-in number is 646-478-5668. Your participation in the chat during the live show is also appreciated.
