Three Generations of Fonda on Film
by Betty Jo Tucker

Thanks to Susan Kay for sending me the following information about an important fundraising event scheduled for May 12 in Atlanta, Georgia:

Jane Fonda, Peter Fonda, Bridget Fonda and Jane’s son Troy Garity will be on stage together for an interview with Turner Classic Movies (TCM) host Robert Osborne, as the Fonda Family candidly discusses their film careers, their favorite scenes and the Fonda who started it all, Henry. A first for Hollywood, a first for the Fonda family and certainly a first for Atlanta, The Georgia Campaign for Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention (G-CAPP), is proud to announce its 13th Annual fundraising event, “Three Generations of Fonda on Film” on May 12, 2008.

Destined to delight Southern star gazers, celebrities from Atlanta to Hollywood will grace the red carpet at the Woodruff Arts Center to raise funds and bring even greater notoriety to one of the state’s most important initiatives -- adolescent pregnancy prevention.  Celebrating 13 years of successful early pregnancy prevention programs, G-CAPP remains steadfast in a long-term effort to support healthy children and families across the state.  Proceeds from the Annual Premiere benefit Georgia’s most marginalized youth directly through G-CAPP’s services and programs.

“Three Generations of Fonda on Film” includes a sponsors-only VIP pre-party with celebrity guests, a live and silent auction with once-in-a-lifetime experiences and a tribute to Henry Fonda with a screening of one of his unforgettable films.

“The opportunity to have all the Fonda’s together on behalf of G-CAPP is such an amazing gift to our organization and the community we serve,” says Michele Ozumba, G-CAPP President. “Partnering with TCM and Robert Osborne adds a new dimension to our annual fundraiser. This event will showcase Atlanta’s creativity in corporate philanthropy at its best.”
