Michael Myers Halloween Scarefest
by Betty Jo Tucker

Boo! During the October 28th Movie Addict HQ show, horror expert A.J. Hakari takes on Michael Myers and the Halloween film franchise. Hakari, also known as The Mad Movie Man, has written film reviews and commentary for such outlets as Terror Tube, Classic Movie Guide, Review Express, ReelTalk Movie Reviews and his own popular blog, CineSlice.

The Michael Myers saga began back in 1978 with the release of John Carpenter’s scary Halloween, which spawned an additional eight movies including a Rob Zombie reboot in 2007. Many fans believe Michael Myers to be the most evil character on film. If so, in what way is he more frightening than such villainous icons as Hannibal Lecter, Darth Vader, Dracula, The Mummy, Cruella De Ville, etc.?

Hakari plans to cover that topic as well as the ones listed below during his in-depth interview:

Popularity of Michael Myers and this horror franchise.

The Halloween theme music.

Standout performances and other film elements.

Halloween’s influence on the horror genre.

Best and worst Halloween movies.

Michael Myers’ non-movie appearances.

“Michael Myers Halloween Scarefest” airs on BlogTalkRadio at 4 p.m. Eastern Time (1 p.m. Pacific Time) on Tuesday, October 28, 2014. During the live show, listeners are invited to call in and to participate in a chat. An archived segment will also be available.
